Insist that they make the same number of bricks they were making before. Making fewer bricks will not be acceptable. They are lazy! That is why they are crying: Let us go offer sacrifices to our God.

You say: When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and dealing falsely with balances of deceit.

Jehovah of Hosts continues: Is there one among you who will shut the Temple doors to prevent lighting a useless fire on my altar. I am not pleased with you! I will not accept the offerings you bring me.

The disciples saw it and were indignant. To what purpose is this waste?

Some were very indignant over this. They asked, What was the purpose of this waste of ointment?

Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye? Yet you do not consider the beam in your own eye.

Philip answered: Two hundred shillings' worth of bread is not sufficient for everyone to take a little.

This ointment could have been sold for much and the money given to the poor.

Sell your possessions and give to charity. Make yourselves purses that do not get old, a treasure in heaven where moth and rest cannot corrupt and thieves cannot steal.

When Jesus heard it he said to him, You lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.
