John 17:3

Jesus Prays To Be Glorified

² just as you have given Him authority over all mankind to give eternal life to all whom you have given Him. ³  Now eternal life means knowing you as the only true God and knowing Jesus your messenger as Christ. ⁴ I have glorified you down here upon the earth by completing the work which you have given me to do.

We are children of God. Whoever knows God by experience listens to us; whoever is not a child of God does not listen to us. This is the way to distinguish a true spiritual utterance from one that is false.

We have seen and now testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world.

And this testimony is that God has given us eternal life, and this life is given through union with His Son.
