The servants and the ministers stood there, and had made a fire of coals. For it was cold, and they warmed themselves. Peter also stood among them and warmed himself.

And he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch with me one hour?

And one of the wenches, as he sat, beheld him by the fire and set good eyesight on him, and said, "This same was also with him."

Peter sat without in the palace, and a damsel came to him, saying, "Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee."

And he denied it, saying, "I know him not, neither know I what thou sayest." And he went out into the porch, and the cock crew.

And after a little while, another saw him and said, "Thou art also of them." And Peter said, "Man I am not."

Then Sara denied it, saying, "I laughed not." For she was afraid. But he said, "Yes, thou laughtest."

He that feareth men, shall have a fall; but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall come to honour.

And when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him in the face, for he was worthy to be blamed.
