Jesus Brought Before Pilate

31 Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves, and try Him in accordance with your own law." Then the Jews said to him, "It is not lawful for us to execute the death penalty on anyone." 32 This made it possible for the word of Jesus to be fulfilled which He spoke to indicate what sort of death He was to die. 33 So Pilate went back into the governor's palace and called Jesus and asked Him, "Are you the king of the Jews?"
