John 19:2

And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and put on him a purple robe, and approached him

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governors palace, and gathered to him the whole band.

And the soldiers led him away into the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

And Herod also with his guard of soldiers set him at nought and mocked him, and having arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, sent him back to Pilate.
