Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him (for he was naked) and cast himself into the sea.

And one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was seated at the table beside Jesus.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Then Peter, turning about, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrays thee?

This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

The many waters cannot quench love, neither can the rivers drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for this love, it would certainly be despised.

Then Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me to come unto thee upon the water.

And if anyone says unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord has need of him, and straightway he will send him here.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

Therefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.

And having said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

This is the disciple who testifies of these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

The word which God sent unto the sons of Israel, preaching the gospel: peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),

The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord of heaven.

For the charity of the Christ constrains us because we judge thus: that if one died for all, then all are dead:

My brethren, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus, the glorious Christ, with respect of persons.
