It was by Him that life began to exist, and that life was the light of mankind.

Then Jesus again addressed them and said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever continues to follow me need never walk in darkness, but he will enjoy the light that means life."

Then Jesus said, "I have come into this world to judge people, so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind."

"If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But now the fact is, they have no excuse for their sin.

Then He began to censure the cities in which His many, many wonder-works had been done, because they did not repent.

'We are wiping off against you the very dust from your town that has stuck to our feet. But understand this, the kingdom of God is close by.'

That slave who knows his master's wishes and does not get ready or act upon them will be severely punished.

Although they know full well God's sentence that those who practice such things deserve to die, yet they not only practice them but even applaud others who do them.

Indeed, I am the fragrance of Christ to God, alike for those who are being saved and for those who are perishing;

so that all who have refused to believe the truth but have chosen unrighteousness instead might be condemned.

See to it, my brothers, that no wicked, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the ever-living God,
