John 3:20

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

The world cannot hate you; but Me it hates, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil.

And one of the lawyers, answering, says to Him, "Teacher, in saying these things, Thou insultest us also!"

Because, if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror;

for it is a shame even to speak of the things done by them in secret.

But the Pharisees said, "By the ruler of the demons He is casting out the demons."

On this account, I speak to them in parables; because, seeing, they see not; and, hearing, they hear not, nor understand.

and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

And, because I speak the truth, ye believe Me not.

If the world hates you, ye know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

respecting sin, because they believe not on Me;
