Now when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John
After this Jesus and his disciples went into the land of Judea, and there he remained with them and baptized.
And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified behold, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."
For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
If any one asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' you shall say to him, 'The Lord has need of it.'"
And they said, "The Lord has need of it."
You know the word which he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all).
None of the rulers of this age understood it; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
