And Jehovah Elohim formed Man, dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.

Thus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.

The flesh

For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep the law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.

What then is the superiority of the Jew? or what the profit of circumcision?

So that whosoever shall eat the bread, or drink the cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty in respect of the body and of the blood of the Lord.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision has any force, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation.

for bodily exercise is profitable for a little, but piety is profitable for everything, having promise of life, of the present one, and of that to come.

Be not carried away with various and strange doctrines; for it is good that the heart be confirmed with grace, not meats; those who have walked in which have not been profited by them.

which figure also now saves you, even baptism, not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the demand as before God of a good conscience, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

For the word of God is living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to the division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

According to his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be a certain first-fruits of his creatures.

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the living and abiding word of God.
