But I do not seek my [own] glory. There is one who seeks and judges!

This beginning of signs Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee, and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

"If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.

The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory. But the one who seeks the glory of the one who sent him--this one is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

To eat much honey is not good, nor [is] seeking one's honor honorable.

For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but [the one] whom the Lord commends.

And someone does not take for himself the honor, but is called by God, just as Aaron also [was].
