The man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.

Then the people said to Samuel, “Who is he that said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us?’

Bring the men, that we may put them to death.”

Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?

But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.”

Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.

He shall be

Every

person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

Only be

Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Arise! For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act.”

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
