And when they had brought out those kings unto Joshua: Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war, which came with him, "Come near and put your feet upon the necks of these kings." And they came near and put their feet upon the necks of them.

Ye shall tread down the ungodly: for they shall be like the ashes under the soles of your feet, in the day that I shall make, sayeth the LORD of Hosts.

Thou hast made mine enemies also to turn their backs upon me, and I shall destroy them that hate me. {TYNDALE: And thou madest mine enemies to turn their backs to me, and them that hated me, and I destroyed them.}

Thou shalt go upon the Lion and Adder, the young Lion and the Dragon shalt thou tread under thy feet.

though he suffer them to be evil-entreated through tyrants, or let them wander out of the way in the wilderness,

The LORD upon thy righthand shall smite even kings in the day of his wrath.

to bind their kings in chains, and their nobles with links of iron,

For why? It is he, that bringeth low the high minded citizens, and casteth down the proud cities. He casteth them to the ground, yea even in to the mire,

Thy gates shall stand open still both day and night, and never be shut: that the house of the Gentiles may come, and that their kings may be brought unto thee.

The God of peace tread Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

and whosoever overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over nations,
