Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I must give it unto thee.

So Joshua rose up early in the morning and brought Israel by their tribes, and the tribe of Judah was taken;

Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes and the half tribe of Manasseh,

This is the inheritance of the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel, distributed unto them.

This then was the lot of the tribe of the sons of Judah by their families: next to the border of Edom, of the wilderness of Zin towards the Negev on the south side.
