Summary

That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

And it shall come to pass, when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, even the waters that

LORD sat [as King] at the Flood. Yea, LORD sits as King forever.

Thy way was in the sea, and thy paths in the great waters. And thy footsteps were not known.

The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back.

And he says to them, Why are ye cowardly, O ye of little faith? Then after rising, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there became a great calm.

But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, being buffeted by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
