Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

Take twelve men out of the tribes of Israel.

One man from each tribe will help you. Each of these men must be the head of a household.

Choose one of the leaders from each of the twelve tribes and send them as spies to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites.

You must also take one leader from each tribe to divide the land.

What you said pleased me very much. I took twelve of your men, one from each tribe.

He called his twelve disciples. He gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all kinds of disease and sickness.
