A Request For Mercy

⁸ Servants have ruled over us, A deliverer there is none from their hand. ⁹ With our lives we bring in our bread, Because of the sword of the wilderness. ¹⁰ Our skin as an oven hath been burning, Because of the raging of the famine.

Jeremiah 41:1-10

And it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and of the chiefs of the king, and ten men with him, unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and they eat there bread together in Mizpah.
