" 'And when you have come into the land and you plant any tree for food, {you shall regard its fruit as unharvestable}; [for] three years it shall be forbidden for you; it shall not be eaten.

"Speak to the {Israelites}, and say to them, 'When you come into the land that I [am about to] give to you, then the land shall observe a Sabbath for Yahweh.

and Abel also brought [an offering] from {the choicest firstlings of his flock}. And Yahweh looked with favor to Abel and to his offering,

On the next day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate from the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and roasted corn.

It shall be

[This is] a lasting statute for your generations in all your dwellings: you must not eat any fat or any blood.'"

and to teach the {Israelites} all the rules that Yahweh has spoken to them {through} Moses."

And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and [so] {you shall diligently observe} these rules.

You made known your holy Sabbath to them and gave them commandments, regulations, and law by the hand of your servant Moses.

The precepts of Yahweh [are] right, making [the] heart rejoice. The command of Yahweh [is] pure, enlightening [the] eyes.
