Isaac prayed to Jehovah for his wife because she was childless. Jehovah answered his prayer. His wife Rebekah became pregnant.

So it was that she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel. She explained: I asked Jehovah for him.

I praise you, Jehovah, because you heard me, because you have become my salvation.

He said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard and your gifts of mercy are noticed in the sight of God.

God replied: Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son! You will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as a long lasting covenant for his descendants after him.

I slept with the prophetess. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Jehovah told me: Name him Maher Shalal Hash Baz.

Jehovah said to Hosea: Name him Jezreel. In a little while I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu. I will cause the kingdom of Israel to cease.

She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus (Jehovah (YHWH) is salvation), because he will save his people from their sins.
