"Woe be to thee Chorazsin: woe be to thee Bethsaida. For if the miracles had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while agone repented, sitting in hair and ashes.

It happened, that in the eleventh year, and the first day of the Month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Thou Tyre and Sidon and all the borders of the Philistines: what have ye to do with me? Will ye defy me? Well, if ye will needs defy me, I shall recompense you, even upon your head, and that right shortly:

Wherefore I give mine own self the blame, and take repentance in the dust and ashes."

Not to many nations which have divers speeches and hard languages, whose words thou understandest not. Nevertheless, if I sent thee to those people, they would follow thee:

and I turned me unto God the LORD, for to pray and make mine intercession, with fasting, sack cloth and ashes.

Then began he to upbraid the cities, in which most of his miracles were done, because they repented not:

And he came to Bethsaida, and they brought a blind man unto him and desired him, to touch him.

And the apostles returned, and told him what great things they had done. And he took them and went aside into a solitary place, nigh to a city called Bethsaida.

Jesus answered, "Verily, verily I say unto thee: Except that a man be born of water, and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

When they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, "Well spake the holy ghost by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,

And as Isaiah said before, "Except the Lord of hosts had left us seed, we had been made as Sodom, and had been likened to Gomorrah."

according as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of unquietness: eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, even unto this day."

and devilish doctrine of them which speak false through hypocrisy, and have their consciences marked with a hot iron,

"And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."
