And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees addressed him, saying, "Master, we would like to have you show us some sign."

The Pharisees and Sadducees came up and to test him asked him to show them a sign from heaven.

The Pharisees came out and began a discussion with him, testing him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

Then they said to him, "Then what sign do you show for us to see and so come to believe you? What work are you doing?

For Jews insist upon miracles, and Greeks demand philosophy,
