And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

To this very hour we have gone hungry, thirsty, poorly clad; we have been roughly knocked around; we have had no home.

through toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, through hunger and thirst, through many a fasting season, poorly clad and exposed to cold.

She said, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs usually eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."

But she answered Him, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs under the table usually eat the crumbs the children drop."

When they had plenty, He said to His disciples, "Pick up the pieces that are left, that nothing be wasted."

People continued to eat, drink, marry, and be married, right up to the day when Noah went into the ark, and the Flood came and destroyed them all.
