The Rich Man And Lazarus

²³ And having lifted up his eyes in Hades, being in torments, he sees Abraham from afar and Lazarus by his bosom. ²⁴ And having cried out, he said, Father Abraham, be merciful to me, and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that thou in thy lifetime received thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now here he is comforted and thou are in agony.
