Jesus went into the temple complex
and drove out all those buying and selling in the temple. He overturned the money changers’ tables and the chairs of those selling doves.
Some of the people of Jerusalem
were saying, “Isn’t this the man they want to kill?
I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over Me.
to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’
2 Corinthians 4:3
But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
For our battle is not against flesh
and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
He has rescued
us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.
So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent,
who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.
