Having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

After He had suffered, He also presented Himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have observed
and have touched with our hands,
concerning the Word of life—

And Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.”

Saying this, He breathed His last.

But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and said, “God, God of the spirits

of all flesh, when one man sins, will You vent Your wrath on the whole community?”

and the dust returns to the earth as it once was,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, we had natural fathers discipline us, and we respected them. Shouldn’t we submit even more to the Father of spirits and live?
