Luke 4:12

Jesus answered and said to him, "It is said, 'Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.'"

Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God as ye did at Massah.

when your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works.

A lust came upon them in the wilderness, so that they tempted God in the desert.

Therefore may we say, that the proud are happy, and that they which deal with ungodliness, are set up: for they tempt God and yet escape.'

And Jesus said to him, "It is written also, 'Thou shalt not tempt thy Lord God.'"

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them tempted and were destroyed of serpents.

harden not your hearts, after the rebellion in the day of temptation in the wilderness,
