And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

And having turned to the disciples apart he said, Happy the eyes seeing what ye see:

And the prophecy of Esaias is filled up in them, saying, In hearing shall ye hear, and not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive.

The woman says to him, I know that Messias comes, called Christ: when he should come, he will announce all things to us.

Search the writings; for ye think in them to have eternal life: and these are they testifying of me.

But this is that spoken by the prophet Joel;

But God, announced these things beforehand by the mouth of all his prophets, for Christ to suffer, he so completed.
