But he made his way through the midst of them and went on.

In consequence of this they again tried to arrest him, and he withdrew out of their reach.

At that, the Jews picked up stones to throw at him, but he disappeared and made his way out of the Temple.

When Jesus said to them, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.

But when morning came, there was no little commotion among the soldiers as to what could have become of Peter.
