But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

At that, they picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden

and went out of the temple complex.

Then they were trying again to seize Him, yet He eluded their grasp.

When He told them, “I am He,” they stepped back and fell to the ground.

At daylight, there was a great commotion among the soldiers as to what could have become of Peter.
