38 Then He rose to leave the synagogue, and He went to Simon's house. And Simon's mother-in-law was in the grip of a burning fever; so they asked Him about her. 39 Then He took His stand by her and reproved the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. 40 As the sun was setting, all who had friends sick with various diseases brought them to Him. Then He continued to lay His hands upon them one by one and cured them.
