47 Every person who comes to me and listens to my words and obeys them, I will show you who he is like. 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep to lay the foundation on rock. And when a flood came the river pounded against that house, but could not shake it because it had been well built. 49 But the person who hears [my words] and does not obey them is like a man who built a house on the ground, without a foundation.
