Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

And having responded, Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it permitted to heal on the Sabbath?

How much therefore a man is superior to a sheep. So then it is permitted to do good on the Sabbath.

And he says to them, Is it permitted to do good on the Sabbath day or to do harm, to save life or to kill? But they were silent.

Did not Moses give you the law, and none of you does the law? Why do ye seek to kill me?

For the son of man came not to destroy the lives of men, but to save. And they went to another village.

Ye blind guides, who strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel.

And he said to them, The Sabbath came into being for sake of man, and not man for sake of the Sabbath.
