He took her hand and called: Maiden, arise.

Stretching himself out on the child three times, he made his prayer to Jehovah. He said: O Jehovah my God, be pleased to let this child's life come back to him again.

so men lie down and do not rise. Until the heavens are no more, men will not awake or be roused from their sleep.

He spoke and it was done! He commanded and it stood fast.

But your dead will live. Their bodies will rise. You, who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

He said to me: Son of man, can these bones live? I answered, O Lord Jehovah, you know.

The Father raises the dead and gives them life. The Son also gives life to those he wills.

Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies.

Peter put them all outside, kneeled down, and prayed. He turned to the body and said: Tabitha, rise! She opened her eyes. When she saw Peter, she sat up.

It is written: I have made you a father of many nations. [This was] in the presence of God, the one in whom he believed. He gives life to the dead, and calls into being that which does not exist.

For the things that are done by them in secret is a shame even to speak about.
