You have wearied the LORD with your words. But you say, "How have we wearied him?"By saying, "Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"

Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest.

before the LORD, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.

"Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD to them: Behold, I, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones,

A swift

But you say, "Why does he not?" Because the LORD was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

"Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God.

Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!

because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, declares the LORD.'"

Hear, you peoples, all of you; pay attention, O earth, and all that is in it, and let the Lord GOD be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

The sorcerers

"If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

"'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known,

"Behold, the princes of Israel in you, every one according to his power, have been bent on shedding blood.

Then he said to me, "This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land. For everyone who steals shall be cleaned out according to what is on one side, and everyone who swears falsely shall be cleaned out according to what is on the other side.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

"You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

"You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

"You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

"'Cursed be anyone who perverts the justice due to the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.'

Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate,

Do not move an ancient landmark or enter the fields of the fatherless,

"Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms by injustice, who makes his neighbor serve him for nothing and does not give him his wages,

Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.

for that would be a fire that consumes as far as Abaddon, and it would burn to the root all my increase.

They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless;

Shall I not punish them for these things? declares the LORD, and shall I not avenge myself on a nation such as this?"

But you yourselves wrong and defraud--even your own brothers!
