While he yet spoke, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain who said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

Then were there brought unto him little children that he should put his hands on them and pray, and the disciples rebuked them.

And the multitude rebuked them, that they should be silent; but they cried the more, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.

And those who went before rebuked him that he should remain silent; but he cried out so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
