"How then," He asked, "does David, taught by the Spirit, call Him Lord, when he says,
"Brethren, it was necessary that the Scripture should be fulfilled--the prediction, I mean, which the Holy Spirit uttered by the lips of David, about Judas, who acted as guide to those who arrested Jesus.
Unable to agree among themselves, they at last left him, but not before Paul had spoken a parting word to them, saying, "Right well did the Holy Spirit say to your forefathers through the Prophet Isaiah:
Every Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for convincing, for correction of error, and for instruction in right doing;
For this reason--as the Holy Spirit warns us, "To-day, if you hear His voice,
He again definitely mentions a certain day, "To-day," saying long afterwards, by David's lips, in the words already quoted, "To-day, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."
They were eager to know the time which the Spirit of Christ within them kept indicating, or the characteristics of that time, when they solemnly made known beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ and the glories which would follow.
for never did any prophecy come by human will, but men sent by God spoke as they were impelled by the Holy Spirit.

The lord

For David did not ascend into Heaven, but he says himself, "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand
For He must continue King until He shall have put all His enemies under His feet.
To which of the angels has He ever said, "Sit at My right hand till I make Thy foes a footstool for Thy feet"?
this Priest, on the contrary, after offering for sins a single sacrifice of perpetual efficacy, took His seat at God's right hand,
