Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen).
He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John and led them alone up a high mountain privately. And he was transfigured before them,
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask."
He took Peter, James, and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.
Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said and followed Jesus.
He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.
Then the disciples came to him and said, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
