Mark 14:2

But they said, "Not in the feast day, lest any business arise among the people."

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD shall stand.

There is no wisdom, there is no understanding, there is no counsel against the LORD.

O how good is it, for a man, to take the yoke upon him from his youth up?

But they said, "Not on the holy day, lest any uproar arise among the people."

And the scribes and high priests heard it and sought how to destroy him. For they feared him, because all the people marveled at his doctrine.

But if we shall say, 'Of men,' then fear we the people. For all men counted John, that he was a very prophet."

But and if we shall say, 'Of men,' all the people will stone us. For they surely be persuaded that John is a prophet."

Many of the people, when they heard this saying said, "Of a truth, this is a Prophet."

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "Perceive ye, how we prevail nothing? Behold, all the whole world goeth away after him."
