While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and elders of the people.
While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared, and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked up to Jesus to kiss him.
(Now he said this about Judas son of Simon Iscariot, for Judas, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.)
He answered, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.
Jesus replied, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread after I have dipped it in the dish." Then he dipped the piece of bread in the dish and gave it to Judas Iscariot, Simon's son.
They became greatly distressed and each one began to say to him, "Surely not I, Lord?"
