“But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him 100 denarii.

He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, ‘Pay what you owe!’

“Why wasn’t this fragrant oil sold for 300 denarii

and given to the poor?”

Since Judas kept the money-bag, some thought that Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need for the festival,” or that he should give something to the poor.

The thief must no longer steal. Instead, he must do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share with anyone in need.

And they

in the morning you will see the Lord’s glory because He has heard your complaints about Him. For who are we that you complain about us?”

You grumbled in your tents and said, ‘The Lord brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites so they would destroy us, because He hated us.

They grumbled in their tents
and did not listen to the Lord’s voice.

When they received it, they began to complain to the landowner:

And the Pharisees and scribes were complaining, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them!”

Jesus answered them, “Stop complaining among yourselves.

Nor should we complain as some of them did,

and were killed by the destroyer.

Do everything without grumbling and arguing,

These people are discontented grumblers, walking according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.
