And they that went by, railed on him: wagging their heads, and saying, "A wretch, that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days.

Now when he had spoken out all the words that the LORD commanded him to preach unto all the people, then the priests, the prophets and all the people took hold upon him, and said, "Thou shalt die.

but found none: insomuch that when many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

and saying, "Thou that destroyest the temple of God, and buildest it in three days: save thyself. If thou be the son of God, come down from the cross."

Then answered the Jews and said unto him, "What token showest thou unto us, seeing that thou dost these things?"

and brought forth false witnesses which said, "This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law,
