Peter Denies Jesus Three Times
70 But he denied it again. After a little the bystanders once more said to Peter, "To be sure, you are one of them. Why, you are a Galilean!" 71 But he broke out cursing and swearing, "I do not know the man you mean." 72 At that moment the cock crowed for the second time. Then Peter remembered how Jesus had told him, "Before the cock crows twice you will disown me thrice;" and he burst into tears.
