Mark 4:2

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,

He answered them, “The secret

of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those outside, everything comes in parables

So He summoned them and spoke to them in parables:

“How can Satan drive out Satan?

I turn my ear to a proverb;
I explain my riddle with a lyre.

I will declare wise sayings;
I will speak mysteries from the past—

Then He told them many things in parables, saying: “Consider the sower who went out to sow.

He also said in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who want to go around in long robes, and who want greetings in the marketplaces,

When Jesus had finished this sermon,

the crowds were astonished at His teaching,

Jesus answered them, “My teaching isn’t Mine but is from the One who sent Me.

The high priest questioned Jesus about His disciples and about His teaching.
