And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

Listen, the sower went out to sow.

The wicked works a deceitful work. There is a sure reward for the one who sows righteousness.

He who observes the wind will not sow and he that regards the clouds will not reap.

Does the plowman keep plowing all day in order to sow seed? Does he keep turning his soil and breaking the clods?

Blessed are those who plant beside every stream and those who let cattle and donkeys roam freely.

He told them many illustrations. He said: A farmer went out to sow.

The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed some fell by the side of the road. It was trampled under foot and the birds of heaven devoured it.

He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for life eternal. Both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

Truly I tell you unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears much fruit.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God caused the growth.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.

You have been given a new birth, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and endures.

When the blade sprouted and brought forth fruit, it looked like wheat.

But God gives it a body as it pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
