Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
When daybreak came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.
Immediately the Pharisees
went out and started plotting with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.
They, however, were filled with rage and started discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.
This is why the Jews began trying all the more to kill Him:
Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
Then they were trying again to seize Him,
yet He eluded their grasp.
So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.
