And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said, "Why do you have such wicked thoughts in your hearts?

Now Jesus at once felt in His spirit that they were arguing about this, and said, "Why are you arguing to yourselves about this?

But He would not trust Himself to them, because He knew all men

For what man can understand his own inner thoughts except by his own spirit within him? Just so no one but the Spirit of God can understand the thoughts of God.

No creature of His can escape God's sight, but everything is bare and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we have to give account.

and I will surely strike her children dead. So all the churches will know that I am He who searches men's inmost hearts, and that I will repay each of you for exactly what you have done.
