Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

And the Pharisees and Sadducees having come, tempting, asked him to shew them a sign from heaven.

And the Pharisees came out, and began to search out with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

And others, tempting, sought a sign of him from heaven.

Then answered the Jews and said to him, What sign shewest thou, that thou doest these things?

Then said Jesus to him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye would not believe.

And since the Jews ask a sign, and the Greeks seek wisdom:

And, he will give in that day a sign, saying, This the sign which Jehovah spake: Behold, the altar rent and the fat which was upon it, poured out

And others, tempting, sought a sign of him from heaven.
