But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

Now to Him Who is able to establish you, according to my Gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept in silence during eternal ages,

but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery??he hidden wisdom??hich God predestined before the ages for our glory;

which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

of which I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God, which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

Who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose, and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before eternal ages,

upon hope of eternal life which God, Who cannot lie, promised before eternal times,

God, having in many parts and many ways spoken, of old, to the fathers in the prophets,

searching as to what time or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ Who was in them was pointing to, when testifying beforehand the sufferings destined for Christ, and the subsequent glories;
