Matthew 13:45

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking fine pearls:

No mention shall be made of coral, or of crystal: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

There are many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift up the light of your countenance upon us.

Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are in turmoil in vain: he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them.

Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What use is it?

Vanity of vanities, says the preacher; all is vanity.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his field:

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
