The dumb

And the demon having been cast out, the dumb spake. And the crowds were astonished, saying, It has never been seen thus in Israel.

and they were astonished above measure, saying, He does all things well; he makes both the deaf to hear, and the speechless to speak.

The maimed

And if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee; it is good for thee to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire.

And if thy hand serve as a snare to thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having thy two hands to go away into hell, into the fire unquenchable;

But when thou makest a feast, call poor, crippled, lame, blind:

And they

But the crowds seeing it, were in fear, and glorified God who gave such power to men.

And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

And he rose up straightway, and, having taken up his couch, went out before them all, so that all were amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it thus.

They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.

And he said, Thy name shall not henceforth be called Jacob, but Israel; for thou hast wrestled with God, and with men, and hast prevailed.

And there he set up an altar, and called it El-Elohe-Israel.
